Oil Painting Level I and Level 2 with Kristin Tennyson
Wednesday Evenings

Level 1 - This course will introduce students to various techniques in oil painting, ranging from different paint application methods to developing an awareness of volume and form using the medium.
Each lesson will advance your own studio practice and broaden your approach to the idea of painting with repeatable techniques for home.
Most materials supplied - limits set by the teacher. A small list of items to bring from home and additional materials will be provided at the first class.

Level 2 - This course will instruct advanced techniques of oil painting. Evolve and advance your oil painting skills through experimentation and learning more in depth knowledge of the components of oil paints and it's mediums. Explore color, composition and painting techniques in both representation and abstraction.
Geared to students with some oil painting experience who wish to advance and develop personal voice and process.
A small material list will be provided if students wish to have additional materials not available in class.




Introduction to Pottery - with Vide Freiberg

This class will introduce students to the wide range of techniques associated with the ceramics field. Complete pieces using the techniques of hand building (press moulding and coiling) and be introduced to wheel work and the techniques of decorating and glazing. Students will complete a number of pieces in class (limits and sizes set by the teacher) that will be decorated using a variety of techniques that will be glazed and fired. Clay will be provided for the first class. Students can then purchase additional clay (1/2 bags) from the instructor at cost price to experience a range of clay types (approx $15 per 5kg)

Students must wear covered footwear - sandshoes/runners or boots, also please bring an old towel
