CUV50111 DIPLOMA OF VISUAL ARTS



This Diploma is part of a new National Visual Arts Training Package
 to be delivered from February 2013.
Students that have completed their Certificate IV in 2012 will be eligible to apply for enrolment in the new Diploma qualification. 


Pre-requisites for Diploma enrolment with previous study in CUV40111 Certificate 1V in Visual Arts  

1.    CUVRES401A Research history and theory to inform own arts practice
2.    CUVPRP401A Realise a creative project.
3.    CUVPRP405A Develop and discuss ideas for own creative work
4.    CUVACD301A Produce drawings to communicate an idea


Requirement for Diploma enrolment without CUV40111 Certificate 1V in Visual Arts 

Elective areas require a folio presentation which provides evidence of knowledge and skills in all chosen elective areas (Note: you can not pick up new elective areas within  a diploma if you have not firstly completed an elective area in Cert IV or provide evidence of equivalent knowledge)

You should refer to the Certificate 1V Unit descriptors booklet for more information on the  content of the required units

Diploma of Visual Arts CUV50211- Folio Requirements
· Your folio should display your current art accomplishment, potential and commitment to study.
· Contain evidence of prior qualifications obtained
· Include 8 to 10 pieces that show a range of media. Your folio must provide evidence of the elective area of study you wish to pursue at diploma level. For instance, if you have no pre-existing skills in ceramics, painting or digital you will not be eligible to study such at a diploma level.
· The work must have been produced within the last year.
