Short Painting classes starting week beginning 15th August

HOW TO PAINT IN OILS
Day: Monday Afternoons for 5 weeks.
Times: 1.00pm - 4.00pm
Dates: 15th August – 12th September

Painting in oils can be easier than acrylics if you are aware of the best mediums, brushes and techniques. This class is designed for beginners to more advanced students who would like to try painting in this fantastic medium but didn’t know where to start. Oils offer many great qualities and are adaptable for realistic or abstract art.
All paints and mediums are supplied however there is a small list below of other items that students should provide.
Small lidded glass jars, rags, any brushes you may have, disposable plastic plates to use as a palette and a sheet of Oil Painting paper available from the Art Barn, Newell Street approx. $5.00 or a canvas.

Day: Wednesday Evenings for 5 weeks.
Times: 5.30pm -8.30pm
Dates: 17th August – 15th September

There are many ways and methods of commencing an artwork and developing it through to a finished product. From your own images (either photographs or drawings), you will be given a variety of techniques to consider when creating a painting and guidance in the use of colour, over painting / underpainting and brushwork.

Lenore Howard is a highly regarded professional artist with many solo and group exhibitions both in Australia and internationally, and she taught to Diploma level at TAFE for many years.
