Introduction to Painting will run 6, 13, 27th of April and 4, 11 and 18th of May
There are no classes scheduled for the Easter school holiday week between the 18th and 22nd of April.

BEGINNERS RAKU POTTERY CLASS
4 Weeks - Wednesday evenings @ 3hrs per night
Starts 30th March 6.00pm – 9.00pm
Raku is a low fire technique - the glowing red hot pots are pulled from the kiln with long handled tongs at about 1000 degrees and are then smoked in sawdust for special effects such as crackle glazes and metallic lustres.
Students will use the technique of coiling to make a form suitable for raku firing – please note the pots will not be waterproof but will be sculptural or decorative. Size and firing limits as set by the teacher apply.
A fee for the use of glazes and kilns is included in the cost. Students provide own clay - available from teacher at the first class approx $10.

Teacher: Lenore Howard
A course designed for the beginner to gain an understanding of basic techniques in developing a painting. Experience in drawing is not necessary and students will be given access to both oil and acrylics. The class will cover different mediums, brush work, some colour theory and methods of taking an image from initial drawing to a finished painting.A fee for the use of paints and mediums in this introductory course is included in the cost.
Lenore Howard is a professional artist with many major exhibitions and has taught beginners from Certificate through to Diploma levels at TAFE.
