ArtStart
The following information is being passed on to all students interested in a new grant program offered by Australia Council
My name is Melissa Habjan and I am from Australia Council for the Arts. I am the Administration Officer for a fantastic new grant program called ArtStart. Please read below for an outline of the ArtStart grant.
The ArtStart program provides financial assistance to recent creative arts graduates who are committed to establishing a career as a professional artist. Graduates who plan to earn income or gain employment as a professional artist in the visual arts, hybrid and media arts, performing arts, literature or in community arts and cultural development may apply for ArtStart grants.
Grants are provided to fund services, resources, skills development and equipment that help graduate artists to build an income-generating career in the arts practice they have studied.
ArtStart does not fund the creation of new creative works or support the development of one off performances or exhibitions.
For further information, see www.artstartgrant.com.au where you can print posters should you wish to put them up for students to see, share information with others via email or be taken to the Australia Council website for detailed information about ArtStart and eligibility.
Please do not hesitate to contact me via telephone or email for further information.
Kind regards,
Mel
